Speed run trophy

A speed run trophy is one that requires the player to finish the game (or a large portion of the game) within a time limit. Doing so typically requires the player to be very familiar with the game, and thus almost always leads to trophy lists that require multiple playthroughs to complete. Speed run trophies are particularly common among Metroidvanias and horror games.

On this wiki, speed run trophies are marked with the speed run icon.

Notable examplesEdit

Here we list some particularly well-known or notoriously difficult speed run trophies. For a complete list of all speed run trophies, see Category:Speed run trophies.

The Full Speed Run (silver) trophy requires the player to complete the game within 45 minutes, which is quite difficult, especially when compared with the other trophies that this game offers, which are all unmissable.

The Homerunner (bronze) trophy requires the player to complete the game within a ridiculous 1 minute. However, this is actually not hard once you know the way through the game, since the key that opens the end-game are is hidden right near the start of the game.

The 35:00 (silver) trophy requires the player to complete the game within 35 minutes. This is the only trophy in the game that is not unmissable, and even pausing the game does not stop the timer.
