Infamous: First Light (typically stylized as inFAMOUS: First Light) is a 3rd-person open-world action-adventure game in the Infamous series of video games developed by Sucker Punch Productions. It is a stand-alone expansion pack for Infamous: Second Son, and is typically considered to be the quickest and easiest game in the series to platinum. It was offered as a free Playstation Plus game in North America and Europe in January 2015.[1]

The game follows Abigail "Fetch" Walker (introduced as a supporting character in Infamous: Second Son), a young woman classed by the Department of Unified Protection as a "conduit" who possesses superhuman powers. In custody of the D.U.P., Fetch is ordered to tell the story of the events leading up to her capture. Players use their Neon powers to defeat enemies and traverse the environment while completing the game's levels. The game primarily takes place in the streets of a fictionalized version of Seattle and in and around the prison, Curdun Cay.

RoadmapEdit

Step 1: Play through the storyEdit

First, just play through the main storyline of Infamous: First Light. None of the game's trophies are missable, and the game has free roam that can be returned to at any time, so you do not need to worry about any specific trophy requirements yet. In this step, you will earn:

(bronze)Lost  unmissable
(silver)Cracked  unmissable
(gold)Betrayed  unmissable
(gold)She's Ready  unmissable

Step 2: Collectibles and side missionsEdit

Now you should collect all of the Neon Lumens (for Illuminated (silver)) and complete all Police Drones (for Blackout (bronze)), Lumen Races (for Lickety Pronto (silver)), and Neon Graffiti (for That's So Fetch (bronze)). These collectibles and activities are scattered throughout Seattle. The races, graffiti, and drones are fairly straightforward, but some of the Neon Lumens can be tricky to get. It is recommended that you leave any troublesome Lumens for last, as they are much easier after you have fully upgraded your skills (which requires skill points from the other activities).

All of the collectibles and missions are shown on the map, so finding them should not be difficult. In this step, you will earn:

(silver)Illuminated  collectible
(bronze)Blackout
(silver)Lickety Pronto
(bronze)That's So Fetch

Step 3: ArenasEdit

There are 5 challenge arenas that you must play through: Alpha Rescue, Alpha Survival, Beta Rescue, Beta Survival, and Gamma Survival. Your goal is to earn 500,000 points in each of these arenas, and also beat Wave 30 in the two arenas Beta Survival and Gamma Survival. You do not need to play any of the Delsin Arenas. Do not worry about completing challenges during this step, as most of them will come naturally.

Step 4: Clean-upEdit

In this step, you will finish up any of the simple miscellaneous trophies that you have not yet unlocked, as well as complete any remaining challenges (for Perfectionist (gold)). Look at the individual descriptions for the following trophies for strategies for obtaining them:

(gold)Unleashed
(bronze)Novice
(silver)Professional
(gold)Expert
(gold)Perfectionist
(silver)Turret Syndrome
(gold)Great Responsibility
(gold)Top of the Class
(bronze)Event Horizon
(silver)...Bada Boom!
(bronze)Fish in a Barrel

After earning all of the above trophies, you will unlock the platinum trophy: Noble Achievement (platinum).

Collect all Neon Lumens

Neon Lumens are the primary collectible in First Light (roughly the equivalent to blast shards from Infamous). There are 72 Lumens to collect around the city, and they are all found in the air. It is recommended that you fully upgrade your Light Speed ability, as that will make it much easier to reach all Lumens.

To collect hard-to-reach Lumens, go to the top of a nearby tall building and jump off, using your skills such as Air Dash and Hover to help you reach the Lumen.

Destroy all Police Drones

During the Surveillance Blackout mission, Jenny will upgrade your phone, allowing you to find and shoot down Police Drones. There are 7 such drones, and they are not marked on your map, but instead you must use their camera to figure out their location. They all follow a preset path, so you just need to watch the video footage until you see a recognizable landmark and then either chase it down or wait for it to circle back.

Complete all Lumen Races

There are 17 Lumen Races that need to be completed (and they are similar to the DUP Secret Agent missions from Infamous: Second Son). In these activities, you will follow a moving Neon Lumen across the city. Use your Light Speed skill and run through Neon Gas Clouds to keep up with the Lumen and collect it. If you fail the race you need to return to the start to try again.

Purchase every Upgrade

There are a total of 8 skills with 34 total upgrades available to purchase. Upgrades can be bought with skill points, which are earned by completing missiongs, side missions, finding collectibles, and completing challenges. There are exactly enough skill points in the game to purchase all upgrades, so you must complete almost everything else in the game before buying all upgrades. This means that this will almost definitely be your last trophy before the platinum.

Complete all of the Challenges in the Game

There are 96 challenges in the game, and you must complete them all to earn this trophy. You'll complete the majority of these challenges naturally just by working through the game's other trophies (for example, 11 of the challenges have the exact same requirements as other trophies like ...Bada Boom! (silver)). Thus it is best to leave this this trophy for last, after you have already completed many of the challenges already anyway.

A complete list of the 96 challenges is provided below.

Overload 25 Turrets

This is one of the Beta Survival Arena Challenges that you will have to complete anyway for Perfectionist (gold). Sometimes a turret will spawn with the other enemies, and it will be displayed on your mini-map if you are close enough. Get behind 25 of these turrets and press "touchpad" to overload them. You may have to re-play the Beta Survival Arena multiple times to earn this trophy, as you will likely not have 25 spawn in a single play-through. Fortunately, this trophy is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single playthrough of the Arena.

50 Hostage Saves

This is one of the requirements for Perfectionist (gold). Hostages can be saved in Seattle free-roam and also in the Arenas, but the Arenas are much faster. Hostages will spawn from time to time, guarded by two or three enemies who will begin shooting at the hostage once you get close. Defeat the enemies before they kill the hostage to save them. Do this 50 times throughout your free-roam and various Arena attempts to earn this trophy.

Earn a total of 10,000,000 points

This is one of the requirements for Perfectionist (gold). Fortunately, this is cumulative over all arena attempts, so you do not need to earn 10,000,000 points in a single attempt of the arena. You may earn this trophy naturally while while working on the Arena trophies, but if you don't, just keep re-playing your favorite arena after completing all other challenges until you get enough total points.

Defeat 100 Enemies with a Neon Singularity

This is one of the requirements for Perfectionist (gold). This trophy is earned for defeating 100 enemies using your Neon Singularity, which is activated by pressing "down". This can be quickly earned by using Singularity during the Arena Challenges a few times (you should be using Singularity during the Arena challenges when you are able to anyway).

Defeat 20 Enemies in a row with Homing Missiles

This is one of the requirements for Perfectionist (gold), and it is easiest to do in Survival Arena. Just repeatedly launch your Homing Missiles with "R1" and drain neon to refill your ammo. Just make sure not to use any other attacks or powers, and you should earn this trophy within a few waves. It does not matter how quickly you defeat the 20 enemies. This trophy is easier to earn after you have upgraded your Homing Missiles.

25 Stasis + Weakpoint Kills

This is one of the requirements for Perfectionist (gold). After you unlock the Stasis Blast ability, use it with "L1" to breifly suspend enemies in the air, use "L2" to highlight their weakpoints, and use "R2" to fire at them. You need to kill 25 enemies in this way. These kills are cumulative and do not need to be done all at once.
