Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is an action role-playing game in the Final Fantasy series of video games. It is a high-definition remaster of the PSP game of the same name. It is part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries of Final Fantasy games, and thus shares a common mythos with Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy 15.
It is structured slightly differently than most Final Fantasy games, and is split into two distinct phases: main storyline missions, and side quest free time. During your free time, there is a time management mechanic in place that prevents you from taking on too many side quests at a time (though this mechanic does not take place in real time like Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns, but rather each quest and action uses a specified amount of time). During the main storyline quests you are not restricted in the same way, but your performance is graded at the end of each mission.
It is a much quicker game to platinum than most of the other Final Fantasy games, and almost all of the trophies will be obtained naturally as the player plays through the game. Indeed, the most challenging part of obtaining the game's platinum trophy is completing the game itself, which is actually somewhat challenging.
Keep the following tips in mind as you play through the game:
- Dodge a lot. To dodge, press . This will be the main thing keeping you alive most of the time, and there is a trophy awarded for dodging 500 times (Emergency Evasion ).
- Keep multiple save files. Some of the missions in the game are quite long, and once a character dies, they are no longer usable until the mission is over. You don't want to get stuck at the final boss of a chapter with only one character. Furthermore, there is a point of no return in Chapter 7 of the game, so you want to have a save file from before that point as well.
- Level up several characters, not just your three favorites. Many of the late-game missions split up your party, and there are some places where the game will instantly kill whichever character you are currently controlling, so you need quite a few strong characters.
- There is an infinite XP exploit that can get your characters to level 99 in about 30 minutes. See the video at Hard Work's Reward for details.
Step 1: Play through the game up until Chapter 7 on any difficultyEdit
First, play through the game up until you finish the first mission in Chapter 7. This is the point of no return for the game, and many trophies will be locked out once you start the second mission of Chapter 7, so make sure that you create a separate save file at this point.
You can play on any difficulty setting you like, so feel free to choose Cadet (the easiest difficulty) if you want. You will earn the vast majority of the game's trophies just by playing through the game.
Also try to earn Secret of Souls as you play through the game so that you don't have to grind for it later on. After this step, you should earn all of the following trophies, and likely a few more miscellaneous ones as well:
Step 2: Get the other missable trophiesEdit
Once you reach the point of no return, there are a few missable trophies that you should make sure that you have unlocked. Check the requirements for each of the following trophies, and earn them before proceeding:
Step 3: Complete the gameEdit
Now simply finish the game. In this step, you will earn:
Step 4: Mission select and clean-upEdit
Finally, look at the individual trophy guides below to earn any trophies that you have missed via mission select. Once you get them all, you will get your shiny new platinum: Agito Achieved .
